ATM Producer Spotlight: Meet XL Beat God
Platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated producer XL Beat God is the sound behind hits like "T Shirt" by Migos, "Bag" by Future featuring Yung Bans and "Space" by TK Kravitz. At only 23-years-old and with various placements to date , XL is constantly working to bring his dreams to life. Collaborating with producers like Nard & B, Zaytoven and DJ Spinz, XL has built his repertoire with some of the best coming out of not only Atlanta, but around the world.
Some of his first major placements were with Hip-hop hitmakers Future, Lil Uzi Vert, KCAMP, 21 Savage, Young Dolph and more. His first hit "You", a collaboration with his childhood best friend and R&B singer Oshea received over 4.8 million views on Youtube. Dabbling in R&B, Pop, Hip-hop and more, XL said, "I always told myself I didn't want to limit myself to only one specific genre. I want to be the producer who can produce for any artist." His diversity is unlike many producers his age, which is likely to take him far.
Signed to Reservoir Media in 2018, he was soon nominated for his first Grammy and certified platinum with the record "T-Shirt" by Migos. The young producer's production was also featured on the highly anticipated "SUPERFLY" Soundtrack, released in May 2018. In addition to these amazing accolades and major placements in 2018, XL also executively produced Reej Bawstun's EP "Something Amazing" and Sexton's EP "Flexton".
A native of Douglasville, Ga., XL is no stranger to the Hip-hop and R&B influence that Atlanta has brought to the industry. Along with paying homage to his music influences such as Grammy-award winning producer Rick Rubin, XL is also on the way to building his own legacy. His music can be described as a mixture of melodic tunes with a Southern vibe and a touch of 808. Check out some more of XL's sound on his playlist below and follow him here for updates!
